- Rapid Response: Mobilize a technician to inspect the failure withing 48 business hours of formal claim.
- Total Remediation: Correct the failure of craftsmanship or materials at zero cost tot eh homeowner.
- Finish Restoration: Repair or replace secondary finishes (drywall, paint, flooring, or trim) that were directly damaged by the failure of the ParagonCA warrantied system.
- Explicit Exclusions
- New External Sources: Any damage caused by water intrusion or structural failure originating outside the specific Work Area (e.g., a roof leak dripping into a repaired bathroom wall, a burst pipe in an adjacent room, or window flashing failure above the work zone).
- Acts of God & External Forces: Damage caused by earthquakes, floods (natural disasters) fire, lightning, or significant “house settling” and ground movement that exceeds standard engineering tolerances
- Third-Party Intervention: The Guarantee is rendered void immediately if any person other than a ParagonCA authorized representative alters, cuts into, repairs, or modifies the warrantied Work Area (including plumbers, handymen, or the homeowner).
- Abuse and Neglect: Damage caused by physical impact (dropping heave objects on tile), use of corrosive industrial cleaning chemicals not approved for the finish, or failure to maintain internal home humidity at healthy levels (leading to surface mold unrelated to a leak).
- Standard Wear and Tear: Maintenance items such as silicone caulking, grout sealing (after 1 year), and lightbulb replacements are considered standard homeowner maintenance and are not covered under the structural/waterproofing Guarantee.
For the Guarantee to remain in effect, the Homeowner must:
- Notification: Notify ParagonCA within 72 hours of discovering a suspected recurrence. Failure to report a known leak that leads to extensive rot or mold may limit the “Finish Restoration” portion of the Guarantee.
- Access: Provide reasonable access to the property for inspection and repair during standard business hours.
